In the case of writers/editors Creativity is also needed. Much of the success of marketing relies heavily on gathering statistics and making changes based on the information gathered. Here are a couple of tips to get more cash for your business as soon as possible, even for beginners.   Here is a simple advice to help you get your affiliate business raking in a higher payout: negotiate. See if you look at many affiliate markets, the price listed there is usually the lowest payout that you will be able to get. Others simply content themselves with this price and just try to overcome it by generating a lot of lead or conversions, but there is a better way to get more income for your business and that is to simply negotiate with your affiliate manager. This is where building relationships come in. It is very important as negotiating becomes easier when your affiliate manager not only knows you but likes you. The first thing you need to do here, just as I did, is get on the phone and start talking with your affiliate manager. Tell them what you are up to, what are your plans, where you are going and start negotiating. They will understand most of the time and will give you a bump. Even if you are brand new, you can usually get 10% to 20% more and that is because you did ask for it. Most people don’t even ask and this very little thing makes a lot of difference! Another thing that you want to do to get your business on the right direction is to negotiate with your affiliate manager and ask them to get you on weekly wires. This is something I was able to do quickly because I know it is essential in maintaining a cash flow for my business. If you are getting paid every 30 days or 60 days, sometimes even 90 days, there may be a problem with cash flow and most businesses close because of that and naturally you don’t want something like that to happen to you! -Jeff

Find how to reach success as a team and practice these skills for the best results.   Let me tell you a few things about communication. In terms of growing a business and seeing it succeed and maintaining it, having the right technical skills is not enough to get you going higher and higher. Communication skills take a big part of that as well and if you can communicate very well, it will be very easy to capitalize on your skills and take your business to the next level. The most important concept here is to make sure that the people with you are really with you. In the beginning you may just be working by yourself but as you go along, employees may be working for you or if you are single in the beginning with nobody else to think about, that time will come when you will have somebody with you and communication is important in the same thing. The key here is to sit down together and decide what the goal is. Get them in on your plans. Tell them what are you going to accomplish, lay out what you are going to do, communicate what is going to happen, particularly what are the sacrifices that may be involved to make that happen. Go over it with everybody so you know you are on the same page. Setting expectations and communicating them right at the beginning will be the key to smooth roads. If you don’t, the people around you will bail out on you real quick instead of them supporting you in what you are trying to do. When you communicate it doesn’t mean there will be no problems ever but at least you will be able to handle frustrations better. Sacrifices will always be involved in business but as you grow, they will be minimal yet you will be able to create large results. -Jeff

The number of struggling individuals and families everyday is staggering. Find out how you can be a blessing to others today.jeff_and_rondah   I don’t know if you remember this, but when I appeared on ABC’s Secret Millionaire last year, I met this very good hearted lady named Rhonda that runs Habitat for Safe Seniors. It is a nonprofit organization based here in San Antonio and basically what they do is help seniors and those others and families who are badly in need in terms of food and groceries. What they do is raise money and helps to deliver the food to the many people who are struggling to get by. The first time, I was so amazed at the line of cars coming to them to pick up the groceries. Simply, there are just too many people in need! During the show and even after it, I continue to be in touch with Rhonda and I found that after being on the show, it is great that some people become aware of what she does with the volunteers in the group but these people who are generous with their donations are greatly outnumbered by the tremendous amount of clients that come to Habitat for Safe Seniors looking for help. Rhonda tells me it’s good to have some exposure for the group in Secret Millionaire but along with that came more responsibilities as more people learned of the help they are giving and wanted to receive it too. This brings us to an important point: if you can help, why are you not helping? There are many struggling people out there and at one point, you have to ask yourself how are you reaching out and more important, if you’re not reaching out, you should definitely start doing it! I encourage you greatly to do this. Share whatever you can because when you give your blessings back they return to you a hundred, even a thousand fold! -Jeff

Practice this skill daily to create bigger results for your business.   It is never easy starting a business. I know this because I experienced this firsthand and along the way I have had to overcome major challenges. What made it more difficult for me is the fact that I know I am not the only person involved or affected by what happens to my business because I have a family with me that I have to support and who are dependent on me in turn. This may be the case for you too whether it is a family, wife, or employees, this dimension exists and what will define success is how you communicate with these people around you. Primarily, you need them to support you and without them it will be much harder than it already is. The first key in growing your business is to realize that and acknowledge that you need to approach this as a team, particularly because the road to success is often bumpy. Before you begin your trip into business, update the people around you about what to expect. Tell them where you are going, what your plans are, what can they expect, what sacrifices will have to be made, what road blocks and challenges will probably come up. Keeping communication lines open will help ease the challenges and will ensure you are all working on the same plane to achieve the same goals. For example, if you have a family, communicating to them what you will need to do to work on the new business is crucial. You may need to spend more time in the beginning figuring things out and handling many processes within the work so your time with your family may be limited. Same thing with employees. You have to tell them what you expect so that they will deliver and you will get to where you want to go together. -Jeff

The amount of people struggling every day is overwhelming. Learn how and why you should start sharing your blessings today.iStock_000014392453XSmall   Have you ever experienced a time in your life when it seems you have nothing to give but you still give everything you have? I know it sounds weird but I have had that experience. A few years back in the beginning of my career, I’m every bit struggling. All there is to my checking account is $300 then I met this person and for some reason, I felt like I should give him $300. But at that time that is all I had… I still gave it. I wrote the check without thinking about it but clearly sure I’ll be in for trouble but you know what, the most interesting thing happened to me. The next day, I got a check for around $1200 in the mail – that is triple the amount of what I gave! Look, I know it goes against everything logical but giving back works. I’m not saying you do the same as me and give everything you have but it is essential that you start somewhere and give back. At our office, there is a hallway filled with photos of children that we are helping throughout the world. It is very personal to me and to everybody who works at my company. Each time we pass the hallway and see these children, it is a constant reminder why we do what we do and I would like to encourage you to do the same. You might think you’re the current charity case but regardless of where you are in life there is always room to give back whether it is $1 or $10 or more. Don’t succumb to excuses. Set goals and find ways to help people because there will never a shortage of reasons why you should reach out and today at that. -Jeff Usner

So — knowledge of email, ISPs, bounces, feedback loops, etc is a plus. 3) you need to be highly analytical and detail-oriented. Much of the success of email marketing relies heavily on gathering statistics and making changes based on the information gathered. “Jeff, how do I know if I am analytical enough for the position?” Well, do you have a deep, longing passion for spreadsheets, number-crunching, stats gathering — and are a whiz at Excel? If so, then you’re probably a good candidate. 4) you need to be able to receive instruction and be trainable, learn from mistakes, work well with a team, and have fun! Use this one strategy to get 10, 20, 30 times more payouts with affiliate marketing. 99% of internet marketers are clueless about this! What do you think is the secret to generating the most success in your business? Is it putting it endless hours at work? Is it hiring the most skilled staff? Is it landing the top offers in the market? Nope… not even close. Don’t get me wrong all these help! However, in my experience in building successful businesses, particularly in affiliate marketing, the secret to success is networking and building relationships. It’s very easy to forget about this because when you have an online business, you normally don’t get to see a lot of the people that you work with, and here comes the difference. If you build relationships with people, like your affiliate managers, they will like you. If they like you, you will be able to get more from them such as lower rates, referrals to other ad agencies, and so much more than when you don’t have a relationship with them. The result of all this at the back end is more cash for you. Instead of simply sending emails to your affiliate managers, call them and build a relationship. Talk to them and use the FORM strategy. Ask them about their Family, Occupation, Recreation, then give them your Message. It is not hard to do. It’s as simple as building a relationship and becoming friends with them, finding out their hot buttons and learning what makes them tick. I had an affiliate manager before who is a Red Sox fan and one time I sent him a Red Sox hat. It’s a very simple gesture but it made a whole world of difference. It doesn’t matter what you are doing on the internet. You may be working with Google, Yahoo, Facebook or others. Find a rep that you can work with there and start building relationships and start getting some of the highest payouts out there.
